Food Service Department

The Mansfield City Schools Food Service Department participates in the National School Lunch (NSLP) and National School Breakfast Program (NSBP).  Currently, the Traditional Food Based Program is used.  Each school meal provides 1/3 of a child's regular daily allowance of nutritional needs.  Research has shown that children who participate in the NSLP and NSBP eat healthier meals on a more regular basis.

Breakfast is a very important meal and those who eat breakfast are ready to learn when the school day begins.  Mansfield City Schools also participates in Provision 2 for breakfast, which allows breakfast to be served to all students at no cost to them regardless of their approval status.

All parents of students in the Mansfield  City Schools are encouraged to apply for free or reduced-priced meals.  Please contact your school or the Food Service Department to receive an application.
