Board of education in regular session Tuesday evening

      Several key topics will be on the agenda when the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education meets in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, at the Raemelton administration building, 856 W. Cook Road.

      The board will consider Superintendent Brian Garverick’s recommendation that Scott Musser be appointed principal for grades 7 through 12 at Mansfield Middle School and Mansfield Senior High School. Musser currently is acting principal at Senior High.

      In other scheduled action, the board is expected to approve the list of 2018 Senior High graduates, Treasurer Robert Kuehnle’s five-year financial forecast and roof replacements at Sherman Elementary School and Raemelton.

      The board also will hear a presentation from The Lockdown Company of Michigan about its building safety system.

      A reception honoring the district’s 2018 retirees will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Room 7 at Raemelton. Retirees also will be recognized during the board meeting.
