students. Madelyn Cramer hasn’t had much trouble adjusting to life at Mansfield Middle School. The seventh-grader has made the All A’s Honor Roll both grading periods this year.
Cramer, who
came from Malabar Intermediate School, was among students honored Friday
afternoon for achieving honor roll status for the second-quarter grading
period, which ended Dec. 20.
What does it take for Cramer to maintain straight A’s?
“I try my hardest in school. I listen in class,” she said with a shy smile. “I try to spread my homework out. I have a study hall so I don’t have to do all of it at home.”
Four seventh-graders and 11 eighth-graders earned All A’s for the quarter.
Sixty-three other students are on the A’s and B’s Honor Roll.
All received a long key chain with a metal tag bearing a colorful Tyger head and inscription signifying their honor roll achievement.
After
guidance counselor Kathi Gorbett presented each award individually, the honorees
ended their day with iced doughnuts and hot chocolate.
