91 families receive holiday dinner boxes

Students pack boxes filled with the fixings for holiday feasts Thursday in the culinary arts department at Mansfield Senior High School.

Ninety-one families of students from Mansfield Senior High School and North Central State College received holiday dinners Thursday, thanks to the efforts of several groups.

The fourth annual “Holiday Feast of Love Celebration” produced boxes packed with all the ingredients for a festive dinner. Each contained a holiday ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, cake mix and frosting.

Contributions for the dinners came from Senior High staff and students, the Mansfield School Employees Association, North Central State College, the NCSC Urban Center, NECIC, Meijer Corp. and Milliron.

The boxes were packed by students in Senior High’s culinary arts department, OCC Leadership and Key Club and NCSC staff. They were delivered Thursday afternoon to nominated families by staff from Senior High and NCSC.
