Grant on board of education agenda Tuesday

The Mansfield City Schools Board of Education will meet in regular monthly session at 7 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 18) at the Raemelton Administration Building, 856 W. Cook Road.

The agenda includes Superintendent Brian Garverick’s recommendation of acceptance, with gratitude, of a $77,621.50 grant from the Fran and Warren Rupp Fund for field trips by students at all district buildings. The grant, administered through the Richland County Foundation, is in addition to $94,162 the fund provided to Malabar Intermediate School in August for math textbooks, field trips and other uses.

The board also will recognize the Spanish Immersion School’s recent designation as an Ohio School of Promise by Dr. Richard A. Ross, state superintendent of public instruction.
