A student at Mansfield City Schools’ Spanish Immersion School is a winner in the Renaissance Theatre’s 2014 MindSprouts Creative Writing Contest.
Third-grader Anna Slade was recognized for her submission: Haiku from “How the Cheetah Got Its Spots.” Her writing will be included in the Renaissance’s MindSprouts Showcase at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 24.
Theme of this year’s contest was “Journeys: Over the hills, under the water, through the imagination.”
