Students' work on display at art center

   Thirty-two works of art by Mansfield Senior High School students will remain on display at the Mansfield Art Center through April 19.

   The pieces were selected during regional competition in the annual Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition, which draws approximately 12,000 entries throughout the state. The works of seven students were judged state-level winners.

   Students’ work debuted Sunday afternoon during a reception at the art center.

   Mindy Duncan, chair of the Senior High art department, said some students had two pieces selected during regional judging.

   Students whose work received state honors include Abou Diomande, Alexia Kemerling, Cole Kiser, Jenerio Minard, Jeryn Reese, Michelle Workman and Nishawn Rawls.

   Others who earned regional honors include Arfrika Hurtado-Vazquez, Aubrey LeClair, Bethany May, Deanna Beal, Dorlan Rosier, Drew Randall, Emily Stevens, Faith Owens, Jalana Geisman, Jesse Robinson, Jonathon Willey, Jullian Windom, Liz Wolf, Maria Jordan, Nate Jackson, Nick Etzwiler, Tamesha Carter and Yasminah Rawls.
