Six members of the Mansfield Senior High swim team qualified for district competition this week at Bowling Green State University.
“These are good kids. They all work really hard,” said coach Ellen Morris. “I was very proud of their performance in the sectionals.”
Senior Breanna Jones, team co-captain, will swim Friday in the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter freestyle. She is a three-time qualifier.
Swimming on Saturday will be:
-- Senior co-captain Drew Weeks in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 200-meter medley relay. He is a four-time qualifier.
-- Junior Gage Eldridge, a two-time qualifier, in the 200 medley relay.
-- Sophomore Jared Queen in the 200 medley relay. He is a two-time qualifier.
-- Sophomore Ben Olivieri, a first-time qualifier, in the 200 medley relay.
-- Senior Ethan Luedy, a two-time qualifier, finished 13th Tuesday in diving competition.
