Free math workshop for K-3 parents April 27 at Springmill

“How to raise a mathematician,” a free workshop for parents of children in kindergarten through third grade, is scheduled 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 27 at Springmill Learning Center, 1200 Nestor Drive.

A light breakfast and complimentary lunch will be provided.

Math teachers and specialists will guide parents and guardians on helping young children to have fun with math and see math in everyday activities.

“Parents are the child’s first teacher,” said Springmill Principal Gabe Costa. “If your child can see you enjoying math games and talking about math during shared activities, math becomes a natural and fun part of everyday life.”

Free on-site toddler care will be available and parents will have free math materials to take home.

An RSVP to the Springmill secretary at 419-525-6348 would be appreciated but is not required.
