Mansfield Middle School will be featured this week on WMFD TV’s “Inside Mansfield City Schools.” Guests include
Principal Robert McQuate; science teacher Patricia Lilley; Cheryl Carter,
director of outreach for North Central State College; seventh-grader Maya
Fowler and eighth-grader William Payne.
Topics will include the Parent Fair scheduled for Nov. 16. Registration is still available by going to the Mansfield City Schools web site, tygerpride.com, and clicking on the middle school page.
Ms. Carter and McQuate will discuss Graduate Pathways to Success, a partnership between the district and NCSC which will allow students – starting with their selection as eighth-graders –the opportunity to earn an associate degree with their high school diploma. There would be no cost to the students and they will not have to leave the high school.
The program will air on Spectrum cable channel 16 in Mansfield at 8 o’clock tonight, 4 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. By Thursday the show also will be accessible on WMFD’s web site by going to “video and audio” at the top of the home page, then scrolling down to “Inside Mansfield City Schools.”
