Family Night will take flight at Woodland

Flight will be the theme of math and literacy activities on Thursday, Sept. 22, when Woodland Elementary School hosts Family Night.

The program from 5:30 to 7 p.m. will include free hot dogs, chips and cookies.

“We will have lots of things going on that relate to flight,” said Principal Kim Johnson. “Activities will center on math and how things fly – airplanes, owls, bats. We plan to have a bird from the Ohio Bird Sanctuary.”

Johnson said families will have an opportunity to make airplanes and possibly T-shirts with a flying theme.

Reading activities also will involve flight.

“We are planning a lot of fun and learning for everyone. We hope all of our Woodland families will join us,” Johnson said.
