English Language Arts/ Social Studies- Mrs. Noland
My name is Jessica Noland, one of the 4th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teachers at Malabar. I received my Bachelors Degree in Middle Childhood Education and Middle Childhood Generalist Endorsement from THE Ohio State University. During college, I had a field experience with Mrs. Stoyko and Mrs. Pohlabel (5th grade teachers at Malabar Intermediate), I knew then I would be a future Mansfield City Tyger! I was also a substitute teacher at Montessori School of Wooster where I taught everything from toddlers through 8th grade. This year will be my second year of teaching at Malabar.
I grew up in Wooster, Ohio, which is home to books n’ stock the used book store. It was in this book store where I found my love for books, and trust me, my love for books was buried deep inside me. I struggled through most of grade school with reading, but eventually the right book came along and stuck. Now, I get to help students find that love for reading too!
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and extended family, walking, playing board games, and cooking.
