English Language Arts- Miss Nicol
I am Miss Nicol, one of the 5th grade Language Arts teachers. I have been teaching for 12 years and taught every grade from 4th grade to 8th grade. After college, I was a substitute teacher where I taught everything from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Before coming to Mansfield, I spent 7 years teaching at charter schools in Columbus, Ohio, and then moved to Mansfield City schools where I have been for the last several years. I have taught 4th and 5th grade at Malabar.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Middle Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University and then returned there to get my Middle Childhood Generalist Endorsement. I loved school as a kid, so I love teaching everything! I have plans to get my Masters Degree, but am trying to narrow down which area I want to focus in.
I grew up in Marysville, Ohio, which is home to many things, but most notably the Honda Plant and Scotts Miracle-Gro plant. Outside of school, I enjoy crocheting, painting, puzzles, diamond painting, and reading. I also like tending to my flowers and boat rides on my family’s boat.
