Students
will not be in school on Thursday, Nov. 7, to allow all Mansfield City Schools
staff to participate in districtwide safety training. Classes will resume on
Friday, Nov. 8. Staff will meet in the Senior High auditorium at 8:15 a.m. to hear Lt. Randy Carver of the Mansfield Police Department discuss threat indicators and present a refresher course on ALICE – Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate.
Discussion
will include evacuation basics and challenges.
After lunch
staff will return to their respective schools for discussions about evacuations
and procedures that are specific to their building and circumstances.
