Online survey will help to shape district's five-year strategic plan
survey      Mansfield City Schools is asking the public to participate in an online survey that will help to shape the district’s five-year strategic plan.

The survey is accessible at the top of the district’s home web page, tygerpride.com and at https://www.mansfieldschools.org/StrategicPlanning.aspx. It seeks responses from staff, parents or guardians, other community residents and students in grades 6 through 12.

Participants are asked to complete the survey by March 20.

“We are making every effort to include the viewpoints of as many people as possible as we decide our near-future priorities,” Superintendent Stan Jefferson said.

“The strategic plan will help to guide very important decisions in several areas, including academic programs and the most efficient use of facilities.”

The wide-ranging survey includes topics such as the functionality and appearance of schools, the top three issues facing students today, district communications and what top five areas should be prioritized for students in the next five years.

Dr. Bobby Moore of EPiC Impact Education Group is assisting the board of education in development of the plan. In January and February Moore led focus groups of students, staff, parents and community members who offered their opinions about what the plan should include.

At the conclusion of the survey period Moore and his staff will tabulate the results, along with comments from the focus groups. That information then will be shared with the board of education.

Completion of the strategic plan is anticipated by late summer.

“I have referred to the plan as a blueprint,” Jefferson said. “That is what it will be – a blueprint to follow toward greater success for our district and the entire community.”
