Families who registered students at the start of the school year were automatically linked to the voice system which provides notices of school closings or delays, as well as access to Superintendent Stan Jefferson’s Sunday evening fireside chat.
Anyone else who would like access to notices or the superintendent’s message may register at the link below.
Registration will trigger automatic notification when schools are delayed or closed due to weather or power outages. The system also will provide an alert about any action taken to assure students’ safety in response to an unforeseen event.
It is important to note that
5 p.m. on Sunday is the only time the system will not be used for the
notifications listed above. That hour on Sunday was selected for the superintendent’s brief fireside chat to the community because schools are not in session. Each message of two to three minutes will relate to current issues and activities in Mansfield City Schools.
