Federal P-EBT provides groceries to replace missed school meals
The federal Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) provides all families with funds to purchase groceries for children as the result of meals missed during school closures.

Children in Mansfield City Schools are eligible for $5.70 federal reimbursement for breakfast and lunch for each day school is closed due to COVID-19 from March 17 to May 29.

There is no income restriction under the federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020. Every child is eligible for the temporary P-EBT program, including those who have received sack lunches and breakfasts during the closure.

Mansfield City Schools has provided free lunches for all students for two years under the Ohio Department of Education’s community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

For more information about P-EBT, please go to the Coronavirus Closure box on the tygerpride.com home page.
