Dr. Milton
Folson, principal of Mansfield Senior High School, talks with 2019
valedictorian Megan Supron, center, and salutatorian Kelsi Spayde. One hundred
and fifty members of the Mansfield Senior High Class of 2019 are scheduled to
receive their diplomas on Saturday.
Commencement
will begin at 10 a.m. in Pete Henry Gymnasium.
Class
president Perrell Cameron will offer a welcome address followed by comments
from Dr. Milton Folson, Senior High principal.
Kelsi Spayde
will deliver the salutatory address, Megan Supron the valedictory address. Both
will be introduced by Renda Cline, president of the board of education.
Ms. Supron
and Ms. Spayde will see each other often after graduation. Both will attend the
University of Cincinnati in the fall, Ms. Supron majoring in civil engineering,
Ms. Spayde in biology. Both will minor in Spanish.
Superintendent
Brian Garverick will deliver comments before Dr. Folson formally presents the
Class of 2019 for graduation.
The program
will feature “Unwritten” by the Senior High choir. The processional, the theme
from “Pomp and Circumstance,” and recessional, “Fanfare and Procession,” will
be performed by the Senior High band.
