resources department of Mansfield City Schools continued its meetings with new
district employees Monday by providing catered brunches to recently hired bus
drivers.
Human resources director Mark Wilcheck met with the drivers at the bus garage as Senior High’s culinary arts department delivered boxed brunches.
Similar box meals have been provided to new hires in the district’s schools.
“We want all new hires in the district to know that we appreciate them and want them to feel welcome,” Wilcheck said after the morning session. “We also want to know how they feel about their hiring process.”
Wilcheck and human resources executive assistants Teresa James and Cynthia Gilbert created an anonymous survey for new employees.
The introductory message says: “As a new employee of the Mansfield City Schools, we want to know about your experience thus far. The survey below will help us make improvements; therefore, your response is very valuable. Please complete the following questions with compete honesty. All answers will be submitted anonymously.
“We appreciate all of your feedback. Please let us know how the hiring process, orientation process and overall experience with Mansfield City Schools has been thus far. Let us know what we have done well, or what we can change to make it better.”
By the end
of last week more than 65 boxed lunches had been delivered to new employees.
The human resources department expressed its appreciation to Chefs Tom Blike
and Ed Golden and culinary arts students for preparing the meals.
