Board of Education will meet in regular session on Tuesday

      The Mansfield City Schools Board of Education will have a full agenda when it meets in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at the Raemelton administration building, 856 W. Cook Road.

      The board will consider replacement of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment in the Malabar Intermediate School gym and a contract for replacement of the gym floor. Also slated for action is replacement of the boiler at the Raemelton administration building.

      The agenda includes action on the purchase of two regular school buses and two buses with handicap access.

      The board will discuss a resolution to oppose Ohio House Bill 512, which would consolidate the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio Department of Higher Education and the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation into a new state agency called the Department of Learning and Achievement.

      Robin Hall, head cook at Sherman Elementary School, will be honored as an Every Student, Every Day support staff champion.

      Several personnel actions also are on the agenda.
