Open Enrollment is Available for all Eligible Students!

Mission
Springmill STEM Elementary, in partnership with the community, seeks to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success in the STEM fields of Study. Students will develop critical thinking skills through hands-on, project-based learning that will prepare them to take on real-world challenges. Springmill STEM Elementary will prepare students for STEM pathways in intermediate, secondary, and post-secondary education so that they can be successful in the increasingly high-tech and high-skilled global economy.

Vision
The vision of Springmill STEM Elementary is to provide an educational option for students to be introduced to and pursue their interests and aptitudes in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through the project and problem-based learning.

WHAT IS STEM?
STEM literally stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. But a STEM education is not just about those subjects, it is a way of teaching and learning. Students at Springmill STEM will become problem solvers through inquiry based learning.

Inquiry-based learning is a student-centered teaching method that encourages students to ask questions and investigate real-world problems. In this type of learning environment, students are actively engaged in the learning process and are given the opportunity to explore their natural curiosities. This type of learning is often hands-on and allows students to connect what they learn in the classroom and the real world. Inquiry-based learning has been shown to improve critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and creativity.  Learn about Inquiry-Based Learning here
