The Richland County Children’s Auxiliary members are committed to bettering the lives of children in Richland County. The mission of The New Store is to dress children appropriately for school. The children we serve are in kindergarten through eighth grade, and have been referred by their school principal based on need. Each child receives several outfits, a hooded jacket, undergarments and tennis shoes. We are looking for volunteer groups or individuals that can assist us.
The Auxiliary also coordinates an Adopt-A-Child Christmas project – our hope is that every child in Richland County will have gifts to open at Christmas. The project supports families referred by Richland County Children Services, Kinship Navigator, Help Me Grow and CHAP. This project assisted over 1,000 children in 2016.
